Man Utd have rejected a loan approach from a club outside the Premier League for a rarely seen recent signing, according to a report.

Van de Beek was limited to just 311 minutes of league action, however, with doubts arising over the viability of making him into the same starting XI as Bruno Fernandes at the same time.

Scholes explains why Fernandes isn’t POTY
Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes does not deserve to win the PFA Player of the Year award, according to former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes.
Fernandes’ arrival at Old Trafford in January 2020 was a major factor in their resurgence. The attacking midfielder has made his debut in the Premier League and already has 34 goals and 21 assists to his name in 61 United appearances.
Thanks in part to Fernandes, United were even in contention for the title until January. However, Man City rivals now appear destined to win the league instead.
Despite this, Fernandes has had a major impact this season, scoring 15 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League so far. Only Mohamed Salah has scored more goals than he has so far, while Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane are the only Premier League players with more assists this season.
However, United Scholes legend – who recently criticized Fernandes’ performance in big games such as United’s recent draw with Chelsea – played down rumors that the Portugal international is set to be named player of the year.
