A worker at a site near Cold Brook Road in the town of Scott died after being pulled from a body of water on June 2.
Cortland County Sheriff officials said members of the task force attempted to resuscitate the 21-year-old and called 911 around 9:43 a.m. Emergency communications officials provided assistance to CPR until the deputies arrived.

The workers say the man had worked with them in the area and went into the water.
The victim was taken to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say they have identified the man, who is not from the region, but his name has not been released. The man’s family has been notified.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant John Gallagher of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office at 607-758-5562.
